From Mont Saint Cyr, which dominates Cahors and the meander of the Lot, its ascent will provide unforgettable views. From the car park Saint Georges, at the foot of the Pont Louis-Philippe. A journey of 5.5 km (2-2.5hrs of walking) awaits.

Luzech
Starting from Cahors, you can continue your journey towards Luzech and visit the medieval city and the site of the oppidum of Impernal.
Luzech is a peninsula surrounded by the river Lot. This is a must see on the “Portée par le Lot” excursion.
The history of Luzech dates back to prehistoric times on the “Pech Nene”, this city was the object of many conflicts during the Middle Ages, besieged by Richard Lion Heart or during the Albigensian Crusades.

Puy-l’évêque invites you to discover the many vestiges of its rich and distant past. The medieval city is built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Lot. Behind the XIII century tower, you will discover the last vestige of the Palace of Bishops.
Grezels
For a stop at the castle de la Coste, a historic monument. The bishops of Cahors had a castle built in the XII century, which was remodeled into a stronghold in the XIV century. This castle has kept its drawbridge and path.
(Today it houses the Wine Museum.)
Belaye
Last stage of this circuit to Belaye, to complete this circuit before returning to Mas des Papillons.
Medieval village dating back to the XIII century with a superb view of the vineyard.
Belaye hosts a cello festival in August for the past 25 years.
